What is a head spa?
A head spa is the dream treatment you’ve been waiting for your whole life! It uses techniques that promote ultimate relaxation and improve scalp health. Our treatments rejuvenate your scalp, ensuring it feels refreshed, clean, and balanced—leaving both your scalp and hair feeling their best.
What is included in my treatment?
Your treatment is personalized and follows 10 to 14 steps that flow together for a complete scalp care experience. We start with a detailed scalp analysis, followed by nourishing oiling and massage, using stimulating tools to enhance circulation. A detox treatment, combined with neck and shoulder massage, leads into a series of deep cleanses and conditioning. The session finishes with relaxing hydrotherapy.
Can I have a service done if I have hair extensions?
Yes, of course! Ideally, we recommend scheduling an appointment between your hair extension maintenance visits. However, many of our repeat clients enjoy our services with hair extensions
Does this treatment work for all hair types?
Yes, our treatments are designed to be effective for all hair types. We welcome everyone to experience the magic of Toma Head Spa.
Can I receive a treatment if I have psoriasis or other scalp conditions?
Yes, we welcome clients with psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, and other scalp conditions. Our treatments are tailored to provide relief and enhance scalp comfort. However, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before booking to ensure that our services are appropriate for your specific condition and needs.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
All clients are asked to enter card details at the time of booking. You can cancel or reschedule for free up to 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours in advance, or if you don’t show up, you will be charged 50% of the service price.
Can I receive head spa treatments if I’m pregnant?
Please be aware that our services require you to lay on your back for an extended period of time. While our treatments are generally safe and gentle, we highly recommend consulting with your doctor before booking if you’re pregnant. It’s always best to get approval from your healthcare provider to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you.
Do you offer memberships or package deals?
Absolutely. We offer 3-session packages at 15% off — a one-time purchase that’s valid for a full year. Packages are for one person and can be enjoyed at any of our locations, making them a simple and flexible way to keep up with your self-care.
What products do you use during treatments?
We work exclusively with professional, result-driven brands such as JuliArt, Green Envee, and leading Korean lines like Corthe, KRX, and Dermathod. All products are carefully selected for their clean, high-quality ingredients to nourish the scalp and deliver visible results.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
We recommend arriving with unwashed hair for the best scalp analysis, but it’s completely up to you. If you’re booked for a facial, we’ll gladly remove any makeup for you. For your comfort, body wraps are provided to change into so you can fully relax.
Are children allowed, or is the service suitable for young clients?
We love welcoming younger guests, but since our services are designed for adults, anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian with them during the appointment.
Do you offer gift cards, and how do they work?
Absolutely. Our gift cards can be purchased online, are valid for one year, and can be customized with the amount of your choice. If you’d like a physical card, simply call us at 813-551-0306 to arrange a pickup, or we’ll be happy to mail it to you at no extra cost.
How often should I come in for a head spa?
For healthy scalp maintenance, every 6–8 weeks is ideal. If you’re focusing on hair growth, more frequent visits may be recommended. Many clients who come for self-care and therapy enjoy a monthly visit, while others book seasonally — about once every 3 months — for a deeper detox.
What steps do you take for hygiene and sanitation?
We follow strict spa and state guidelines to keep every visit safe and clean. All tools and surfaces are thoroughly sanitized between clients, and fresh sheets, wraps, and towels are always provided. We use professional-grade disinfectants approved by the Florida DBPR to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and care.
